Born in 1967 in Japan, Naoki graduated from the architectural department at Meiji University and then completed a diploma course at Architectural Association in London. In 2003, he established Terada Design first-class architect office, and Terada Mokei in 2011.
Terada Mokei was established with a view to explore the potential for modeling, which is created by scaling things down and giving them detail through models. This reflects their belief when real items are replaced with models; the latter have an essence of reality, filled with dreams and potential to become nicer than the originals.
Terada Mokei hopes to convey the enjoyment of assembling models through imagination and the process itself.
