At first glance, you may think of this simple metal plate as a trivet ( which it can be), but in fact, it can be bent to fit the shapes of any objects put in it and become a flexible basket!
KAGO Honeycomb has beautiful honeycomb pattern, which is made of tin. The melting temperature of tin as metal is very low, approx. 230 degrees Celsius, compared with that of iron, approx. 1500 degrees Celsius. That is why you can bend it easily, and of course, bend it back to its original form. This product is the result of an innovative design concept, flexible material and traditional craftsmanship.
The project is a collaboration between designer, Rina Ono and NOUSAKU, a Japanese manufacturer of Buddhist altars, tea sets, vases and tableware since 1916.
Made in Japan.
